Equipped with a dollar and a dream, Chicago native, Brandy Carter embraced her new home in Los Angeles in 2011. Rewind to elementary school, Brandy, who, despite her passion for acting was unsure how to pursue her dreams, because they seemed so surreal to her at the time. After performing in school plays and winning an Oratory competition for her performance of Maya Angelou's "Still I Rise," Brandy knew that she was destined to be in the limelight.
Originally pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice, Brandy realized she was not being true to herself and decided to enroll in theater class, one that happened to change her life. After reading and watching August Wilson's "Fences" she knew that she would never be satisfied doing anything other than acting. In October 2012, she graduated from the esteemed American Musical and Dramatic Academy Los Angeles! With a background in theater and focus on television and film, Brandy is taking young Hollywood by storm. Always passionate, consistently tenacious, Brandy Carter is one to watch for.
